Tech/Interco TrXus Review

Okay, I've been asked about the new Interco TrXus Mud Terrain tire many times over the last two months. Here is my brief review of this new offering from Interco Tire Co...creator of the Super Swamper.

Background: I was running Goodyear RT/S 225/70/15R "stock street radials" prior to mounting my 31x10.5x15" trXus MTs. The GYs were great, quiet, and good in wet conditions. I didn't like them in the snow or ice, however. They were definitely not an off road tire.

In researching my tires, I had had the opportunity to ride the same CJ with fairly new SSRs (with about 1000 miles on them), TSLs (older) and a TJ with MTs and ATs (both sets less than 5k miles). I also rode the same CJ with the new TrXus mounted (and brand new).

Based on these trials, I chose the trxus. I installed them on April 6, 2001, and as of this writing, have almost 3,500 miles on them. I chose 31x10.5x15s and mounted them on American Racing 15x7 AR767 steel wheels. >>onto the review
